What is JFIF?
JFIF is JPEG File Interchange Format — JPEG image data with a small header so software knows how to open it. Windows and some scanners still write .jfif (or .jif) even when the content is ordinary JPEG. If a portal rejects the extension, convert jfif to jpg and resubmit.

What is a JFIF file?
JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is a way of wrapping JPEG image data so programs can open it. Many cameras, scanners, and older Windows apps save photos as .jfif even though the pixels inside are standard JPEG.
Is JFIF the same as JPG?
Almost. Both store JPEG-compressed pixels. The difference is mostly the file extension and a small header. Forms and apps that reject .jfif usually accept the same image renamed or re-saved as .jpg.
Will converting lose quality?
