TinyPNG Is Great Until It Isn't: A Pay-Once Alternative

TinyPNG is excellent at what it does. If you want the same job — smaller images — without uploading files and without a recurring Web Pro / Web Ultra plan, SnapShrink is the pay-once TinyPNG alternative built for that gap.

What TinyPNG offers today (verified on tinypng.com)

TinyPNG’s online compressor optimizes WebP, PNG, JPEG, and related formats on their servers. Their own FAQ states that free users can upload up to 20 images at once, each up to 5MB. Free format conversion is limited to 3 images. For more capacity they sell Web Pro and Web Ultra subscriptions. Images you upload are retained for a maximum of 48 hours before deletion, per their privacy FAQ.
